Our Specialties

Dental implants are the replacement of tooth roots in the mouth. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed or removable replacement teeth. Dental implants are anchors which are placed in the jawbone. Dental Implants are constructed of Titanium, a biocompatible metal discovered during space exploration and the second type is Zirconia, which are Dental Implants with no metallic component. After the fusing process, known as osseointegration, abutment posts are inserted into the anchors to allow for the permanent attachment of the replacement teeth.

Dental Implant Restoration is important to maintaining good health and the appearance is equally imperative to the whole Dental Implant experience. We basically utilize Zirconia to fabricate our crown and bridge work over Dental Implants. Our crowns are lifelike in appearance and are constructed from the hardest material in dentistry today. They will not chip, crack or break. Zirconia allows light to pass through it where standard porcelain fused to metal(PFM) crowns do not, therefore the esthetic and durability comparatives are non-existent. These type of crowns do cost more but are well worth it for their durability and esthetic appearance. Where Dental Implant require custom abutments to be the foundation for our crowns, we assure these abutments are inserted using the latest technology to prevent them from prematurely loosening.

The key issue in Dental Implant Dentistry today is quantity and quality of the underlining bone structure. Therefore, it is imperative that all teeth extractions are performed non-traumatically. This means that as much, if not all, of the bone around a root must be preserved. The importance of new bone regeneration lays in the fact that only the blood from bone can form new bone.

At times, patients come from other dental offices where Ridge Preservation techniques were not practiced and these patients present with poor bone quantity. In these cases, we are often required to tap into the upper sinus area to generate new bone in order to gain length of bone.

This new type of crowns was initially developed for individuals who grind or clench their jaws causing damage to teeth, fillings and standard porcelain fused to metal(PFM) crowns. As time passed, some practitioners, like ourselves, noticed how healthy the tissue around Zirconia crowns appear and how natural these crowns look. This is why it is our material of choice for Dental Implant Restorations as well as for natural teeth. These type of crowns do cost more but are well worth it for their durability and esthetic appearance.
A tooth that can not be saved with restorative intervention may need to be removed. With over 35 years of providing dental excellence, we can assure our patients that all extractions are performed non-traumatically, there by minimizing post-op swelling and pain. Also, this technique helps to preserve the natural bone structure so that Bone Grafting and Dental Implantation become more predictable.

Invisalign®

As Preferred Invisalign® providers with over 15 years of excellence, we provide you with a seamless way to change your smile, change your life.

Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements we plan out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Six Month Smiles®

There are some adult cases that require conventional wire and brackets. Luckily, Six Month Smiles® is a short term cosmetically focused orthodontic treatment. The average time for most cases is six months. Six Month Smiles® utilizes specific, Lucid Lok® clear brackets and modern-day technology nickel titanium tooth color wires. The philosophy behind Six Month Smiles® is to “give patients a smile that they can be proud of, in a reasonable amount of time… with clear braces.”*

Propel®

Propel Excellerator® is virtually pain free and shortens the whole treatment time of any orthodontic case by 20%. This is accomplished by micro-osteoperforations. In other words, we stimulate the bone to have micro inflammation, which in turns increased cytokines production (growth bone cells). This begins the cycle of bone remodeling and hence bone density decreases for a time but enough time for teeth to move through bone easier and faster. **

Our Root Canal therapy has evolved over our 35 years to insure minimal pain with long lasting success.

Root canals are most often necessary when decay has reached the nerve of the tooth or the tooth has become infected. When root canal therapy is performed, infected or inflamed pulp is removed from the tooth chamber. The inside of the tooth is then cleaned and disinfected before filling and sealing to limit the possibility of future infection. Soon after the root canal is performed, the tooth is restored with a life like crown to protect the tooth and restore normal function.

Whitening is the procedure used to brighten teeth. There two ways to achieve a whiter smile: in office and at home techniques. Either way you’ll have a brighter, younger sensational smile.

Cosmetic & Restorative

Although our first choice of material these days is Zirconia for crowns, we do still offer “traditional” porcelain crowns. Our preparation technique lends itself to creating a beautiful standard porcelain fuse to metal(PFM) crowns, where no one, and we mean no one, can tell your smile is dotted with crowns. Our crowns do not reveal that dreadful gray border around the gum line, giving your smile that worn or “old school crown look.”
With Veneers, you can easily transform worn discolored front teeth into a vibrant smile. You will feel better about yourself and improves how others perceive you!

Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to recreate the natural look of teeth. To place a veneer, a very small amount of the original tooth enamel must be removed. Afterwards, an adhesive layer is placed between the slightly prepped tooth and the veneer. The veneer is then hardened with a curing light.

A bridge replaces missing teeth without the use of a denture or dental implant. A fabricated tooth is connected to crowns that are placed on the adjacent teeth. The adjacent teeth and bridge structure itself provide the support for the restoration. If multiple consecutive teeth are missing, an implant may be recommended to provide support for a bridge.
An inlay or onlay is a partial crown restoration that can be placed when there is not sufficient tooth structure to support a filling, but not quite large enough to require a crown. They are made of a composite or porcelain that aesthetically and functionally replaces the missing tooth structure.
Tooth-colored fillings are the most lifelike material used to fill cavities. Composite fillings can be done in one visit. Once the decay is removed from the tooth, the cavity is filled with the composite (tooth colored filling) material and is harden immediately afterwards. The composite material is hardened with a curing light. This process is known as Cosmetic bonding, where the tooth maintains its natural appearance.
A denture is a removable appliance for replacing missing teeth. There are two types of dentures, complete (full) and partial dentures. Both kinds of dentures can be retained or anchored in the mouth by Dental Implants as well.

Complete (Full) Dentures are made after all the teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw have been removed and the gum tissue has healed. The denture includes a pinkish acrylic base that is custom made in the dental laboratory and teeth are placed onto the base to give natural look.

Partial Dentures are much like full dentures except that they are supported by the remaining teeth. They attach to the teeth either by metal clasps or a flexible (pinkish) type of material.

Preventive & Diagnostic

An oral examination is a visual inspection of the mouth, head, and neck, performed to detect abnormalities. Digital Radiographs allow for a more complete examination, helping the doctor to detect cavities, problems in existing dental restorations, gum and bone recession or other abnormal conditions within the mouth, head and neck area.
Fluoride is a natural substance that helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. Fluoride treatments, at your discretion, are administered at this office as in important component of pediatric dental treatment. The fluoride is applied to the teeth in a gel, foam or varnish form.
We utilize Digital radiographs to identify decay, extra teeth, bone defects, tumors, and cysts and check the progress of previous procedures. Advances in technology now allow for digital X-rays to produce instant, high-quality images that can be viewed immediately by the dentist and the patient.

An added benefit to digital radiographs is the extreme minimal radiation required to produce instant, high-quality images.

Oral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. We use the latest technology to detect changes in oral tissue consistencies and/or lesions. Healthy tissue looks lighter under the light while spots of bad tissue appear dark. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.

Additional Services

When oral pain occurs it can stop you in your tracks. Don’t let “pain cut you deep or keep you from sleeping”. We can be your remedy! We always reserve some time in our schedule for just such urgencies and during off hours we are still available to help.
We provide you with a customized appliance to protect teeth against wear, breakage and other effects of grinding the teeth (bruxism). Usually worn at night during sleep.
Frequently used in contact sports, the mouth guard covers the gums and teeth and are particularly important for athletes who wear braces. A properly fitted mouth guard can reduce the severity of dental injuries.

Pre-formed mouth guards purchased in most sporting stores offer little to no protection and result in injuries costing more to repair than the amount you saved buying inexpensive guards.

Be sure to bring your mouthguard to your dental appointments so your doctor can be sure it still fits you well.

With our in house laboratory, we are able to repair most denture and partial denture fractures the same day. We can even replace missing teeth that have been fractured or lost in dentures.
We have the means to fabricate dental lab quality clear retainers. Going any where else to replace your or your child’s lost or broken retainers take 2 weeks in most cases. We can make new retainers in less than 2 hours. Now you have no reason to wait! As a matter of fact, the longer you wait the greater the chances teeth will start to shift.
Local anesthesia is used to eliminate sensation to a localized area being treated. We use the strongest topical on the market before all injections and our anesthesia is also buffered with a special neutralizing agent which helps to make our injections painless.
